DWR - seeking to improve the professionalism of waste management in emergencies Support DWR

We are now operational and need your support in running and growing the organisation so we can support communities, local authorities and other implementing agencies in disaster waste management.

Our next steps include the following main activities:

Establishment
Increasing our organisational presence and deployment, development of partnerships and gaining charity status.
Waste Resources
Continue to grow our database of experienced and qualified waste management experts who are ready for deployment. Develop technical guidance documents and supporting material for practioners, donors and trainers.

Best Practice Focal Point
Develop a focal point for the collation of best practice, lessons learnt and research on disaster waste in order to provide an open source for those requiring support.
Provide Training
Develop and deliver training programmes for those responsible for the design and implementation of disaster waste management projects.

How can you help?

You and your organisation can help us to grow Disaster Waste Recovery. There are many ways of support, from direct donations to setting up payroll giving schemes or contribution-in-kind support.

Those organisations which support us in these next steps will be recognised in all our work as having been instrumental in providing affected communities with robust and sound solid waste management support.
